Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Guns 101

When you load into the game you will see a set of tabs at the top: Games, Weapons, Operators, Battle Pass, and Champion.

Selecting Weapons will take you to the area where you can sort Loadouts, Killstreaks, and Vehicle Configuration. In Loadouts, you’ll see that you can have up to 10 custom configurations, so you don’t have to worry about wanting to commit to a narrow choice. There are six items to load: You have a choice of primary and secondary weapons, including your Tactical and Offensive Equipment, your Perks, and your Upgrade.

Your load will be placed in the horizontal bar on the “Edit Load” screen. By selecting a specific load you can configure each of the six modes. Some of your available weapons are indicated by the Perks you have for that loadout. The primary weapons are as follows:

Primary weapon types

  • Assault Rifle
  • Rifle Battle
  • SMGs
  • Gunshot
  • The LMGs
  • Point Rifles
  • Sniper rifle
  • Message

There are only three types of Secondary weapons.

Secondary weapon types

Weapons are also broken down into Standards, much like a skill tree in an RPG, which indicates the upgrades you can unlock for a particular weapon. When looking at a weapon in the loading or weapons menu screen, you can view the progress of the Standard by pressing V on the keyboard (tablet on PlayStation, see button to Xbox).

The M4 Platform, for example, is a weapon family that includes the M4 rifle, 556 Icarus LMG, FTAC Recon assault rifle, M16 rifle, and the FSS Hurricane SMG.

You compare each gun by getting out there and scoring hits. Some guns from a specific Standard are mounted behind the armor level. For example, to get the Bryson 890 shotgun, you need to build your Bryson 800 to level 16. You can also upgrade each weapon individually for additional customization.

Customizing weapons and attachments with the Gunsmith

When watching a special load in the menus some guns have access to “Gunsmith”. Here you can change how your gun is made.

In Gunsmith’s “Weapon Design” tab you can add different “Modifications” to the weapon’s optics, muzzles, magazines, stocks, and different types of guns. You can choose up to five modifications at any time, and the gun carrier—essentially everything attached—can be swapped out for others in the Platform family of weapons. (Note that not all weapon modifications in the same platform are compatible.)

After the Gunsmith mod, you can jump right into the Budget Range to try out the look and feel of the new mods. It loads very fast, so even if you can’t directly A/B compare certain mods, you can still get a good look for each option without spending too much time behind the loading screen.

Each modification affects statistics in unique ways, and each has advantages and disadvantages. The 419MM EXF Barrel, for example, increases your Damage Range, Hip Fire Accuracy, and Bullet Velocity (Pros), but at the expense of Aim Down Sight Speed and Hip Recoil Control (Cons).

The second tab in the Gunsmith interface is “Configure.” This is where you can use various weapons, skins, stickers, and other such things. Each camo skin has different requirements, but unlocks the same bonus: Simply earn weapon XP by scoring weapons and completing special challenges listed under each camo skin. There are also Weapon Mastery challenges to complete once you’ve unlocked the Gold, Platinum, Polyatomic, and Orion skins.

The higher your own special weapon, the more extras you can access. When you hit a high level with a special weapon, you can start adjusting those attachments to make it more manageable.

The weapon tuning menu shows a number of options for changing the weapon's stats.

The focus of the attack New War II

By customizing weapons you can adjust the pros and cons of each add-on. Remember, you need to hit level 20 with a special weapon to get the modifications.

You can’t customize all the settings, but what you can do is give it two sets of sliders and you can go all-in on the power of the attack or back off the settings. weakness. Keep in mind that these are all fine adjustments. If you want to increase your Aim Down Sights Speed, for example, you’re better off going with modifications that focus on that instead of trying to fix slow ADS speeds. the Weapon Tuning. According to that, the high price of TTK of New War II this means that even the best modifications can change the heat of the season.

Weapon sharpening is best done once you know which guns and modifications you like. This part of armor customization is more of an art than a science, so take some time to figure out what works for you.

Weapon upgrades are one of the main goals of the game, and you’ll definitely progress based on the guns you’re able to use. Holding a gun over your shoulder won’t cut it; to fix the gun you have to be there using the blade on your enemies.

With so many weapon options, it’s not a bad idea to stick with two guns, two or three at most, when starting out. Playing with the completed Overkill Perk (available with the Assault preset pack) is a great way to see what it’s like to have both primary guns at once.

Don’t forget to take advantage of the Weapon XP bonus as well. You can select these in the multitasking screen. Be careful, because your XP boost will count up real-time outside of games. In theory, it is good to save XP pride for use in a playlist that is not as heavy in waiting times.

Quick Play and Terrain Battle have faster queues. However, keep in mind that 32v32 situations like Land War will make you less likely to engage in gunfights because you’ll spend more time moving between objectives. On the other hand, it’s a good place to increase your sniper or sniper rifle because you have more distance to do it. If you’re looking to level up with close-range weapons like guns, smaller 6v6 games might be your best bet, but your mileage may vary.

It’s something I love to do split a load for weapon comparison. Enter a “Level” and just use that to change the guns you want to progress, leaving your main tools untouched, just uncheck them when you want to change your playstyle in the competition.

If you change a gun in a load that you plan to use regularly, all changes will be reset, which is not good. The “Upgrade” loadout allows you to customize the remaining nine loadout options with the guns, modifications, and sounds of your choice. You may want to set up some Perks to make comparisons easier. Overkill, for example, allows you to have two Primary weapons on the board, so you can advance with two at once (although, again, you have to use the gun given to get Weapon XP on it.) I like it. keep quick arms for balanced loading, as this makes switching between guns quicker, which helps when you’re trying to do both exercises. Scavenger is another great Perk to match guns to, as it allows you to generate more ammo during the game.

New War II didn’t disappoint when it came to bringing a bunch of fun weapons to shoot and shoot. Take some time to tune your guns, and you’ll play better and look better off the field. And when you know which weapons and modifications you like, don’t forget to give the weapon a shot to adjust the game to your liking.
